Three people died this Sunday in a shopping center in Greenwood, in the state of Indiana, at the hands of a man who was armed with a rifle. Two other civilians have been injured. The shooter, who opened fire in the center's restaurant area, was killed by a civilian carrying a gun.
As explained by Jim Ison , the police chief of the town located south of Indianapolis, the suspect entered the Greenwood Park shopping center , armed Special Data with a rifle and a large amount of ammunition, before beginning to shoot people in the restoration area of the facilities.
A 22-year-old civilian " who was legally carrying a weapon " and was near the scene, killed the perpetrator of the shooting. "The real hero is the citizen who had his gun and was able to stop the suspect as soon as he started shooting ," said the police chief, who also explained that he arrived at the facilities around 6:00 p.m., after that his department received several calls alerting about the shooting.

Four of the shooting victims were women , the remaining one was a man. A 12-year-old girl is among the two injured people who, fortunately, remain stable. In turn, the police have collected a suspicious backpack that was inside the center's bathrooms.
