The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig , met this Monday with the mayors of Castelló, València, Alicante and Elche, as well as with the presidents of the three councils and representatives of the municipalities to address the "recovery of the Valencian Community " . At the meeting on the Agreement for the Reconstruction of the Valencian Community that was held at the Palau de la Generalitat, Puig stated that twelve dialogue tables will be opened to seek solutions to the economic and social crisis that the current pandemic has entailed, with the intention of presenting an agreement with proposals for all Valencians before the end of July.
The president of the Generalitat has pointed out that "the third pillar" of the Valencian Agreement has begun "with the best possible face, that of dialogue" since, he has stressed, "above the interest of the institutions is the interest of the people" . He has pointed out, in turn, that the dialogue process begins to "achieve progress in the short, medium and long term" and that all institutions can address "the weaknesses" that the Comunitat presents.
Along these lines, he thanked the municipalities for the effort they have made Email Data during the pandemic; He has stated that now we must continue "together" working for recovery, and has valued the "will to cooperate" of all the attending institutions.
Remnants and making the spending rule more flexible
The mayor of València, Joan Ribó (Compromís), has warned that the remainder of 2019 is "running out" for the city councils, which have allocated it to social spending, so it is "essential" that the Ministry of Finance releases the resources of the previous year, and that public transport needs funds. Ribó has affirmed that this union of the Generalitat and the municipalities is "the good path" , also quite far from what is seen in Madrid, marked by "confrontation" , and has defended that collaboration is the best way to get out of the crisis and what citizens are asking for.
