The Government of Cantabria is in contact with the central Executive and has offered its collaboration for the humanitarian crises in Afghanistan and Haiti, after the Taliban control of the Asian country and the earthquake suffered in the Caribbean.
Thus, from this region the "hand is extended" to the State, as Phone Number List highlighted this Tuesday by the vice president of the PRC-PSOE, Pablo Zuloaga, when asked by journalists at a press conference.
He detailed that since Monday the autonomous administration has been in contact, through the General Directorate of Development Cooperation, with the Government of Spain, both due to the humanitarian crisis that is expected in Afghanistan and that suffered by Haiti.
From that department they are holding conversations with AECID, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, and Zuloaga has also spoken this morning with the Cabinet of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The purpose is to make Cantabria's collaboration available to the State in all the initiatives that Spain undertakes to resolve the aforementioned humanitarian crises and also the social crisis that is expected in Afghanistan, and that will affect women and girls to a greater extent.
Zuloaga has thus referred to the images that are coming from that country through the media and also to the fact that the situation "gets worse as the hours go by."
At the same time, the regional Executive is awaiting the meeting planned within the European institutions to learn about the avenues that are being proposed in different countries and the collaboration that Cantabria can offer, whose "hand is outstretched."
Thus, the resources that allow the divisions in Early Childhood and Primary already implemented last year will be maintained but "increased" in those circumstances or areas in which it is necessary, also including Secondary.
For now, the counselor has not quantified these reinforcements, something that, as she noted, will be announced in a press conference when the start of the course is more imminent.
Regarding the volume of students, like the previous year, there will be a significant reduction in Infant and Primary and an increase in Secondary that will practically balance it.
Lombó explained that the protocol is mandatory for all community centers, regardless of their ownership and has already been sent to the centers and other bodies of the educational community.
As noted, it maintains the objective of guaranteeing the presence of all students "in safe conditions."

"To do this, we have the experience of last year, in which it has been shown that the measures work because the transmission within the centers was very low ," said Lombó, who also recognized that, once again, it will be "essential." » the collaboration of the entire educational community.
And regarding the sectoral meeting called by the minister of the sector, Pilar Alegría, for August 25, facing the start of the course, Lombó has indicated that he does not foresee that the protocol that will be published tomorrow will undergo modifications given that in Cantabria it has been preferred « start with strict measures and, from there, when possible, always relax them with the endorsement of the health authorities.
